Tuco told him the name of the cemetary?   I'm wondering about this because, earlier in the movie, he kills Stevens after he tells AE Jackon's alias name 'Bill Carson' because Baker paid AE to get the name.  Then, he kills Baker after Stevens pays him $1,000 to kill him.  The only thing I can figure is that AE wasn't paid by anyone to kill Tuco, so it wasn't worth going through with it.    Instead, he has Wallace take him 'somewhere', which leads me to my next question:  Where was Wallace taking Tuco?    I don't recall anything mentioned about where he was taking Tuco.  The only thing AE says to Blondie is "He's in good hands", but no specific place to where Tuco is being taken.

Thanks for your input and help  :D

There is still a bounty on Tuco's head. We presume Wallace is taking Tuco to either Texas or NM to be exchanged for the reward. Possibly, Wallace would then meet up with AE and split with him (and maybe the other members of the gang).

Most likely Texas since all the hangings were in Texas all the sentences read say "....laws of this state" , New Mexico was still a territory.

Great points, CJ and Dave - :D    In the movie, it's not clear about where Wallace is taking Tuco nor about AE keeping Tuco alive, so it was another question that came to mind - something to 'assume' or ponder on.  :D

Awesome point Cigar Joe.   Makes perfect sense.  That insight will make me listen to the words even more closely. Awesome.

Its a good way of also getting rid of Wallace, while AE go after the "real" money.  O0

Check out the sticky timeline at the top of this section we hashed through a lot of interesting sidebars there.

Dave is correct.  Tuco's bounty is payment or reward bonus for Wallace.  Angle Eyes is a fair boss.

Oh, of course - he's out to collect his share, always wanting to be rewarded for 'seeing them through'.
