I knew this song so far in the excellent version of Tony Sheridan which was based, as I have discovered only recently, on Dion's:

Thank you!!  Over and over again.   I start first thing in the morning and go right through to bedtime with different songs.  Driving me nuts.   Last one was Sinatra's  It Was  a Very Good Year. Guess that's the title.   When was the last time anyone heard  Young Girl?   Can't remember the singer's name.    Anyone know how to get these songs out of your head?

"Young Girl" was by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap.  And since that song has been stuck in my head for 45 years, I'm guessing it's never coming out.  At least I actually like the darned thing.
