Mediocre Corbucci, in pre-Leone (or pre-Corbucci, if you want) style. Mitchum is the usual loner who goes back home and has to free the city from the local villain who has two sons, a good one (a pubescent Andrea Giordana: amazing how three years after he will look a man, so much more handsome than here) and a bad one (Ardisson: he plays the villain better and, in my opinion, this is his best performance ever in a western. He reminded me, with those golden - peroxidated? - hair, of Richard Widmark). There isn't a single element to distinguish this from b-series telefilms. The Ferrio's score is derivative as well, a theme reminded me of Morricone's
A Gringo Like Me
. 4\10 only for higher than usual production values and the curiosity of watching Mitchum's son play.

The Italian DB says Corbucci used Albert Band's name as a pseudynom?
I thought Band co-directed?

The movie was started by Band, but producers lost faith in him and the movie was completed by Corbucci, who is reported as saying he shot only some scenes. So fundamentally is a Band movie.

But Albert Band alias Alfredo Antonini was the producer of the film. He also wrote the screenplay together with Corbucci.
It's clearly his film, at least there is nothing recognizable which could remind me of Corbucci.
Corbucci and Antonini worked again together for I Crudeli, and it is reported that Antonini interfered in the directing.

Band was
one
of the producers. It was Vasile who ousted him from direction and called Corbucci.

Where did you get this information from?
Is the info about Corbucci not directing very much also from this source?
I always thought Corbett was a Corbucci pseudonym. Was it used on any other films?
Who is Vasile?
In my german book by U. Bruckner a Danilo Marciani is named together with AA as producers.
Do you have also some infos about their colaboration on I crudeli?

That's a good place to start learning it, if you care about SW. Is the Bruckner book worth buying?

Yes and no.
It's worth the money for the amount of data about SWs like release dates, runtimes, aspect ratios and more. There are also lots of photos, in which I'm not so interested.
Unfortunately he is not a very good writer and what he has to say about the films is not very interesting and also a bit boring to read. And the contemporary reviews he adds are even worse.
Well, it's a large book with 730 pages, and the data part with about 300 pages about actors, directors, composers, screenplaywriters, DoPs and all SWs and Euro westerns with basic data is useful for every fan, cause he works with the original titles. The German titles are only added, as are the English, Spanish and French ones.
The rest of the book is in German about over 100 of the usual classics, but as I said not a great pleasure to read.
Of course there are also errors, but he works on them, this is not like the Weisser fairy tales.
But if you have this book by Giusti you probably won't need it.
As I'm not intending to learn Italian, I would still prefer to get the answers to my questions here in the forum, or maybe at the SW data base.

I don't know about the Corbett pseudo.
Marciani was the executive producer.
Vasile was producer with Band and Mario Ferrari.
In
I crudeli
Corbucci directed Band screenplay (based on a tale by Will Cook,
Guns of North Texas
). Band was also the producer.
P.S. You better learn italian.
