the following items are significant items used in leone films. see if you can put them in the order of when they were invented...

MACHINE GUN (AFOD)
TELEGRAPH (FAFDM; OUATITW)
GATLIN GUN (GBU)
DYNAMITE (AFOD; GBU)

hint: here the following years the aforementioned items were invented (not in order of course).

1854 (official US patent)
1861
1862
1866

for extra credit: who invented each item.

hint: one of them should have been given the first NOBLE PRIZE...

Ok, here's what I found out with a bit of surfing, Let me know how you arrived at some of the choices.

MACHINE GUN (AFOD) 1879 or 1885-This one doesn't fit any of your year choices, but there are ealier versions of what some define as machine guns going back to the 1700's, I'll have to go with either Hiram Maxin and his Maxim machine gun in 1885 (it looks similar to the one in AFOD but its not quite the right one) or the Gardiner machine gun in 1879.

TELEGRAPH (FAFDM; OUATITW)  Samuel F.B. Morse had at patent in 1840 and lines were strung in 1844 between Washington and Annapolis Jct. This is the version they used in the US but Europe had other versions notably Cooke and Wheatstone's "Five needle electric telegraph" patented in 1837.

GATLIN GUN (GBU) 1861 Dr. Richard Gatling (a dentist no less, lol).

DYNAMITE (AFOD; GBU) 1866 Alfred Nobel

cigar:

i guess you were the only one who enjoyed this question. the dates, due to proper documentation, are a bit fuzzy but i went to several patent sites and i think those dates seem to be the most quoted. you did a great job. you get a fist full of dollars (if only in spirit).

I don't know any of them for sure, but I can always guess:

MACHINE GUN (AFOD) 1862
TELEGRAPH (FAFDM; OUATITW) 1854
GATLIN GUN (GBU) 1866
DYNAMITE (AFOD; GBU) 1861 (invented by Alfred Nobel)
