Now that you've told him my name....

In today's (12/24/03) New York Times Crossword puzzle, 41 across was clued:

Spaghetti western director Sergio

With the answer being "Leone"

Each day of the week the NYT gets harder, but I don't see how they could have made this clue any easier.  Harder variants might include:

"Tarrantino's favorite director" or

"Director of Fistful of Dollars"

I'm sure that Leone has been included prior to this puzzle, a 5 letter word with 3 vowels is just too right not to have been used before.

The New York Times does it again!  ;D

It seems NYT has a special interest in Leone. The OUATITW DVD was praised as a potential "DVD of the year",GBU was number 10 in the Top-10 movie list for 2003 - and now this!

The reporters of NYT must be die-hard Leone fans!  :D
