Stephen Kings version of THE SHINING on youtube last night.

Overlong, the hedge monsters were laughable, not a patch on Kubricks film.

6 out of 10.

You're referring to "1408", right Banjo?

Dunno if its also known by that but here's the youtube link.

I was curious about this having ordered Kubrick'  2 disc special edition yesterday. This also contains an additional 20 minutes plus of footage cut from all UK versions so i'm really looking forward to seeing this.

Ohhh, I was thinking of "1408", starring John Cusack. I have never seen this version you posted.

I'd never heard of it till i looked on Amazon yesterday and was tempted to buy it before by chance i caught it on Youtube.

Looking on imdb a lot of people seem to prefer King's update as it sticks much closer to the book.It was scary enough but still nowhere near as good as the original.

Leprechaun 3 - 0/10 - They had a marathon of these movies on Sci-Fi today. This was the only I watched, having never seen it before. It was almost, but not quite as good as Lep in the Hood. Good being used in a relative sense, of course.

I think I have this on VHS, haven't watched it yet.

Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) - 7.5/10
Scorsese sure knows how to portray characters believably but it feels like he isn't really comfortable anywhere else than in NYC.
