The Sicilian Clan (1969), I never liked the finale: too simplistic. Sicilians are jealous, not stupid. For the rest a very well thought up caper movie, with Ventura towering over his colleagues who are very good. 8\10

Drugstore Cowboy - 7/10
Nice job Gus, but the bad still overrules the good, and you still deserve to die.

This film is a classic 10/10.
Except for the excellent GOOD WILL HUNTING , GVS had a major career downturn until...
MILK 9/10 absolutely grrrrrrrrrreat!

Iron Man - 7/10 - I feel generous. The first forty minutes or so really dragged, wallowing in sloth and cliche, but it picked up after Downey returned to the US and remained mostly entertaining throughout. Downey was fun but the rest of the cast wasn't up to much IMO. Action scenes were pretty good, and at least lacked the repetitive, blatantly false nature of the climax in Transformers. Not bad for a summer blockbuster at all.

I enjoyed it but I just cant get excited watching two cgi characters battle it out.

That's where the film failed for me to.

The first 2/3rds was great... then the climax happened.

Same thing with the new Hulk. Only that was boring throughout.

The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things (2004) - 1.5/10
Pretentious art movie + exploitation = shit. I can't give a lower rating than that because there appears to be some kind of a story anyway; 0/10 is reserved for "movies" consisted of film clips that relate in no way. Is it just me or is Asia Argento trying to become a cult figure just like her father?

Jule Dassin's "Night And The City" beatutiful cinematography, with great performances all around 8-9/10 Widmark is fantastic.

Blood Simple. - 6.5 - 7/10
Dark and unsettling first film from the Coen Brothers, with noticeable traces of their developing, unique style. Still, very ametuer feeling with its respective flaws. My least favorite of their works so far but it's worth a viewing.

Into the Night (1985) - 4.5/10
Average mediocrity with a few good jokes.

Holliday Affair (1949) - 10/10. Mitchum in a feel-good Christmas classic? Who knew? Plus: A rock solid performance from a very young Janet Leigh; Wendell Corey's best role ever; A child actor from this period you can actually marvel at; AND an amazingly literate script. It's movies like this that remind me that films used to be made for adults. I could go on, but the reviewer at IMDb has got all the angles covered.

Reign Over Me - 7/10
Borderline 7 for this one... pretty typical modern drama but the characters are interesting. Sandler's performance fluctuates between crappy and over-the-top to pretty good (his 'hissy fits' are embarassing to watch - his confession to Cheadle about his family was pretty damn good).

I don't want to put you on the spot, but where are the flaws, power? I'm not saying BS is perfection, but I think it's quite a gem. The writing, direction and acting are all pretty damn good and it's pacing is exceptional, not a dull moment.
