Public Enemies - 7/10 - I'm a bit too tired to write a full review right now but I'll try to get some thoughts down in the appropriate thread.

I shot Jesse James (1949)  Dir Sam Fuller with Preston Foster, Barbara Britton    John Ireland  Reed Hadley the story of John Ford by Sam Fuller, for a cheap production it was pretty good was on TCM tonight. Ireland does a adequate turn as Ford, story of course was pretty much fiction. 7/10

Jenkins, is your memory that bad? I've noted by hatred for the 2005 version innumerable times on here.
Give that hatred a number, wise-ass. Is it a "6"? A "3"? A "1"? I'm betting "hatred" turns out to be a 4 or 5.

I never saw it the whole way through. I got 45 minutes into it and had to turn it off, it was so bad.

I suggest you watch the dull-as-dishwater Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

I've seen it, it's flawed but hardly dull. It's an interesting movie, though the transvestite scenes run for much too long and the pivotal scene/climax was poorly executed. I liked it enough. 6/10 or something.

I haven't read the book so I can't comment on the source material obviously.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

I did a Sam Fuller marathon last night.

I Shot Jesse James (already rated it earlier)
The Baron of Arizona (interesting Vincent Price Western) 6/10
Steel Helmet (8/10) low budget minimal sets but entertaining.

The Bedford Incident (1965) 4/6

Pretty good actually. The shots outside the ship are terribly dated, but inside everything seems pretty authentic. The movie manages to keep the suspense throughout it's course.
Worth a watch, although I find The Hunt For Red October a superior movie.

The General (1927) 5/6

Silent movies isn't my cup of tea and I don't think seen one in 20 years. I give this a 5 tho just for the creativity involved. The train chase in the first half of the movie is one of the best sequences I've ever seen on film.
Gave me a few chuckles as well even though it gets a little too silly at times.

The Piano (1993) - 8.5/10
Basically it's just a love triangle but it's a good one.

Inherit the Wind (1960) - 9/10
I missed the first half an hour or so but it didn't bother that much. This is quite possibly the best court room drama I've seen (no, I haven't seen 12 Angry Men). The dialogue is amazing, performances are great and somehow the movie manages to be cinematic although it's basically (like?) a filmed play.

My 3000th post here, BTW... Time to get a life.

Well 12 Angry Men is much court room it almost all just jury deliberation.  Another good courtroom film is Anatomy Of a Murder.
