The Corporation - 8/10 - Pretty cool and often chilling documentary of the evils of corporations. I don't necessarily agree with everything but on the other hand very difficult to dismiss. It loses a few points for its heavy reliance on Michael Moore but otherwise I can't find much fault with it.

Looking forward to their follow-up, The Administration. Oh, no, I guess that one isn't on the cards . . .

Cape Fear (1962) - A great mystery how Mitchum wasn't even nominated for an Oscar he should also have been given years before for at least a handful of movies. No wonder Tuco didn't get his. 9\10

Rogue Trader (1999) - 7.2/10

Solid movie, maybe moves too fast but still menages to deliver the drama and thrills.

Lolita (1997) 7/10

Very difficult film, but handled delicately. I haven't seen Kubrick's original but I understand it's suppose to the superior adaptation of the novel. Morricone's score sounds very similar to Deborah's Theme.

Only a 7? If it weren't for OUATIA, I'd say Paris, Texas is the best movie of the 80s.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

Too much color. Wings of Desire is better.

Very good tranquillazer, one of the best of the '80's.

My friend had it purchased on his IFC On Demand. I wish I had gotten to see it in theaters and if it does make it down here, I'll definitely go see it again.

I love Muller's visuals, so I'll have to disagree with the first statement. I have been waiting about 3 years, but I'll finally have the chance to see Wings of Desire, so I'll let you know what I think. I doubt I'll prefer it to PT since it's one of my 20 favorite movies or so. I am a bit embarrassed that I haven't seen WoD as of yet, in fact, it's the single most movie that I am the most ashamed to not have seen.

Singin' in the Rain - 8/10 - A musical that I actually liked? WOW!

You should watch The Band Wagon (1953), if you haven't already. That, like, Rain, seems to be an exception for those who have any aversions towards the genre. I'm somewhere in the middle, I guess.
