Ugh, to me Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me seemed like a bad joke that shouldn't have been said in first place. :)

Maybe you had to be into the TV series, lol.

Rebel Without a Cause - 7/10 - It was mostly entertaining, albeit with any number of cheesy sequences, particularly any of James Dean's big "acting" moments. Worth watching I guess.

The House On Telegraph Hill (1951) dir by Robert Wise with Richard Basehart, Valentina Cortese   (who I just saw recently in "Thieves Highway"), William Lundigan, and Fay Baker, good film with twists about a 7/10.

The Train 8/10
 O0

I'd give it a 6 or a 7.

Very nice to look at but uninvolving.
It has that coldness that most Frankenheimer films have.
At least I feel that way.

It's got great action scenes, a plot that's both realistic and exciting, a Maurice Jarre score and Paul Scofield's second-best film performance. What's not to like?

Veronika Voss - 7-8/10 - Lousy plot. Great direction and mise-en-scene. Wonderful black humor. Worth watching once, not sure if I'd watch it again.

Great B&W photography, though. Worth it just for the images.

Midnight Express (1978) - 7/10

Not the greatest prison drama out there, seems to be lacking a strong structure, but there's a couple of truly disturbing moments that although hard to watch make it worthwhile.

That's how I felt about it the first go around but after 4-5 views I wouldn't hesitate to call it one of the best movies I've ever seen.

What do you think of Seconds?

And I disagree about The Train being cold. I just don't see it. I understand a case being made for MC, but that helps the movie imo.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre..

Footloose - 7/10 - 2nd viewing. Silly but lots of fun. John Lithgow gives a better performance than the movie probably deserves. And dammit I like the music.
