French Cancan (1954) They're all enthusiastic at IMDB about it. I'm not. The story is so trivial that makes you long for some Hollywood originality, just a pretext to arrive at the end show which is something Busby Berkley did better 20 years before though he didn't have technicolor. The only think I liked about it, apart from the gals (Maria Felix in the first scene makes you swoon) is the tune Le complainte de la Butte

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I'm certainly glad I passed up the new French Blu-ray.

SAW 3D(2010)  3/10

Not sure why i watched this but i have an unlimited cinema card.A nasty tasteless humourless film devoid of heroes where everyone dies horribly.Don't think i'll be investigating any of the series earlier entries.

you speak for me as well, for what it's worth, thx banjo. this  movie upsets me only because i'm faced w/ a issue of i could/ should spend my spare time watching for a good western preferably Italian westerns, lol

Hmm. So, I should probably learn the dialogue and use it on my francophone friends?
David, in keeping w/ the situation, i really enjoyed the coen's NCFOM the other night. caught it by chance on AMC even w/ the ugly american's commercials. developed fascination for the writer who scripted the Javier bardem and Tommy lee Jones' lines.

" if this ain't the mess , it'll do until the real mess get's here, " lol

my point is does anybody have a favorite lines from this Cohen effort and if so  what are they ? thx, lol

Europa (1991) - 8/10
I saw a DVD ripped from a VHS. Lars von Trier is a master of tragedy.

My Name is Nobody - 6/10 - 3rd viewing. I will take back my dismissal of the score: it's definitely one of Morricone's best. Otherwise I stand by my previous rating and comments.

This movie ranks higher than 6/10 in my books. But that's me.  Evil

Tragedy, farce - what's the difference anyway?

Well, Nietzsche seemed to think there was a difference.
