Not at all. I'm just showing up--yet again--your appalling ignorance of cinema.

An Eric Roberts movie with a Kurosawa script.
Anyway, if you're going to talk about a runaway train movie, it might be useful to put it alongside the
other
runaway train movie.

Typically such comparisons are used to disparage one film or the other. And I have no problem with Unstoppable. It's a Tony Scott film, you should know what you're getting into.

Maybe
you
should go see Unstoppable to provide us with your wise and learned opinion regarding its quality vis-a-vis other runaway train movies.

I provided a very brief capsule review. You were the one who wanted to provoke a "discussion."

Lo scopone scientifico
(
The Scopone Game
)(
The Scientific Cardplayer
) (1972) One of the last great italian comedies, as bitter as it can get. Bette Davis never played a more bitchy character; still I think the plot should have given her more room. But that was hard, i realize that. I think this is the best performance of the Sordi - Mangano couple. He is at his usual, extraordinary best. But I think that she is even better. Cotten for once looks handsome. Carotenuto is huge, as usual. And Modugno rivals his best melodic feats. Still the plot sacrifices too much of realism to favour the apologue side of the story and so I give it 8\10.

THE PRESIDENT'S ANALYST 1967
spies chase the president's shrink for info in this political satire featuring an all~powerful phone company run by robots and an FBI run by midgets. James coburn w/ Godfrey cambridge. pat Harrington, will Greer, Arte johnson and Barry McGuire ( the eve of destruction ) w/ the hippie band " clear light ". TV version has new scenes to replace the nudity and violence in the original prints. some say part of it was left over from the unfinished third Derek flint movie. Kurt ( the fly ) newman was assistant director. captures the 60's only too well
