An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) - ?/10

Yet again I didn't watch it, but I always seem to turn the TV on when poor Sid hangs himself cause of that bietch (played by the late Lisa Blount, btw, known to me from John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, she died near the end of last year, I found out only now - Rest in peace, Lisa.).

Smokey and the Bandit - 7/10 - This was a childhood favorite that I haven't seen since I was, what, five? It's loads of fun and holds up far better to adult viewing than The Love Bug. Silly but very enjoyable, with a witty script, fun car chases and appealing leads helping it along. Jackie Gleason's mostly-ad-libbed performance is hysterical. And now I'm going to have that Eastbound and Down song stuck in my head for the next few days.

Broken Arrow (1996) - 5/10

Some parts of this are so naive you have the feeling it was written and directed by someone not older than 11, but despite that and the rating it is somewhat entertaining. At least the first time around.

The Last Castle (2001) - 5/10

The beauty of this one is that it tells you what's gonna happen right away, like few other films.

12 (2007) - 7.5/10

Weaker if compared to 12 Angry Men, but a good movie nevertheless.

No movie with Howie Long in it has any chance of being good.

Some here fancied the 1998 TV Western Dollar for the Dead.

Muhammad Ali, the Greatest (1974) - 7.5/10

Herakles (1962) - 6.5/10

Fata Morgana (1971) - 7.5/10
Some incredible scenes but also some dull moments.

La Soufrière (1977) - 8/10

Blade Runner (1982) - 8/10
The International Cut on big screen. The voice-over is silly but seeing the movie on the silver screen makes up to that (although the print had a strong red tint).

Kotch (1971) A typical Hollywood weepie enlivened by Matthau's performance. But everything is fake, from the characters to the plot. 6\10

Lessons of Darkness (1992) - 8.5/10

Wodaabe - Herdsmen of the Sun (1989) - 7/10

Les amours imaginaires (2010) - 6.5-7/10
The visuals are cool but empty; advertisement style. But Xavier Dolan clearly knows how to tell a story, in the subtext.

Crime Wave (1954) Holy shit! One of the best Noir's yet by Director: André De Toth with a stellar cast, Sterling Hayden
Gene Nelson, Phyllis Kirk, Ted de Corsia, Charles Bronson, Jay Novello, Nedrick Young, James Bell, and  Dub Taylor , with outstandingly excellent location work in LA.

Another ex con slub, Gene Nelson, is caught in the middle between Ted de Corsia's smarmy cigarette holder smoking gang leader and Sterling Hayden's tough homicide cop. 10/10

Doesn't look that good in the trailer.
