Doesn't look that good in the trailer.

Your right it doesn't, but trust me (BTW there is no voice over), the DVD is pristine its gonna look amazing on your wall.   Cool

Crime Wave is damn good: great location shots, good visuals and great pace

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

Le Vieux Fusil (The Old Riffle) - 9/10
One of the great revenge movies only the 60s and the 70s were able to give us.
During WWII, a french doctor (Philippe Noiret) hides his familly (his wife is played by Romy Scheider) in his old castle, far from where he works. The whole village is murdered by nazis (the movie was inspired by the events of Oradour Sur Glane). When he discovers the tragedy, he decides to terminate the squad. His advantage: he knows the place.

Torrente 3: El protector (2005) - 5 or 6/10

Just a bunch of nonsense for the fans of the detective. What is interesting is that I remember nothing of the second movie in the series, but remember the first and this third very well. I'll try to fix that in the future. BTW, the fourth movie is coming out this year.

Commando - 6/10 - I was in the mood for something stupid. And boy did I get it.

Subtext isn't the word I'd use. Cheesy

Groggy is right, the matter is too overt to be called "sub-" anything.

Basically, you've got a film tending toward a climax between 2 well-muscled opponents who are overjoyed at the prospect of penetrating each other with long shafts. The climax--a quite literal one--has the impaled Bennett apparently shooting his wad (actually the steam from the boiler behind him) through a mammoth tube as he expires. Was he going or coming? In any case, Matrix is free once more to return to the idyllic life he was living with his pre-pubescent daughter, so much like a young boy . . .

Well, hey, you asked.

Fog Island (1945) Couldn't find a reason to watch it except I shelled 2 euros for it in Paris.  0\10
