I also think the end is supposed to be a bit stylistic, tapping into the "fear of the bomb" in the USA was going through during the late fifties. Altman shows the house burning, but it wouldn't explode, in reality the material would probably melt down through the sand until the seawater table then emit radioactive steam until enough water came in contact with it to cool it down.

Break Point. Cool

The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968) - 7/10 - 3rd viewing. My observation this time around is that the sound quality on the DVD is really, really bad.

In support of the sci-fi reading of Kiss My ...., I'd like to point out that Hammer's voice mail system is pretty far out for the 50s.

a) The Comancheros (1961) 7.2/10

b) Detective Story (1951) 7/10

c) The Tin Star (1957) 8/10

John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Henry Fonda in the morning and afternoon... and the Giants at night... not a bad way for a feller to spend a day  Smiley

McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971)

10/10

I first saw this movie less than a year ago, and now this is my second viewing (though I do not believe I have written about it here). My initial opinion is confirmed: This is probably my second favorite non-Leone Western of all-time (behind Rio Bravo).

My only criticism is in the choice of music. Not that the songs are bad, but I don't think they are appropriate for the movie. Maybe the music/melodies, but without the words

Nevada Smith (1966) 7.5/10

This film is terrific at times and frustrating at times. Terrific potential, hurt by the several times where people act in ways that are just ridiculous.

I'll discuss more in the film's thread

I can accept that some people don't enjoy my signature.
People are allowed to think whatever they want.
However, I will not hear someone tell me that mine is a bad signature.
I know better than them.
Anyone who doesn't think Cotton Hill belongs in my signature is a rude, pathologically insane know-it-all feminist hillbilly asshole with a narrow urethra and is probably a Communist too.

Also they're probably just jealous of my ability to use Google image search to find cool sigs.

I think it should read: "those who can litigate, and those who can't". Wink
