The Damned Don't Cry (1950) Ok meller starring Joan Crawford who is not bad in it 6.5/10 .
I think you short-changed this one. Steve Cochran doing Bugsy Siegel is not to be missed. And Joan is quite a bit better than "not bad." Also, this is one of the best-pacecd films I've ever seen. And that snide reporter's comment at the end is worth waiting for.

I may up it on a second go round, what I meant by not bad was the way Crawford looked, she's actually attractive in this film.  Afro

Maybe you're not familiar with her earlier films. She's pretty attractive until about the mid 50s.

The Raid: Redemption (2011) - 5/10. An Indonesian SWAT team goes into a huge apartment building run by a crime lord, gets ambushed, then has to fight its way out. The plot doesn't make a whole lot of sense--the story is really just an excuse to stage fire fights, knife fights, and elaborately choreographed martial arts exhibitions. Which would be fine except for the fast cutting and the fact that the "tenement lighting" makes everything murky and hard to see (even projected in 4K). Star Iko Uwais has a certain amount of charisma, but the lack of good storytelling left me unengaged. Without anyone to root for, I soon got bored.

I realize that, I was thinking from Johnny Guitar on, lol

Bah. This is an old discussion. But at her best she might have been just passable. Attractive? Well, that's subjective. But she was never a beauty: with that jaw?

I don't mind her jaw. And she had nice legs, which she shows to advantage in Mildred Pierce.

Leprechaun In The Hood - 10/10 - 5th viewing. Rewatching this film made me realize what a deep, insightful social commentary it really is.

Anatomy of a Murder - 8/10 - Don't have much to add to what Jenkins said awhile back, though I'm not quite so enthusiastic.

The Wild One (1953) 7.5/10

Great performances all around, especially by the leads Marlon Brando and Mary Murphy (who is very pretty when you look past that awful hairdo -- not sure if it was a hot 50's style, or a deliberate attempt to make her seem somewhat burned out in that little town).

No doubt Ellington's music means nothing to you.

It may be that having to deal with obnoxious lawyers day-in day-out, my entertainment value was somewhat diminished.
