You should watch it eight times until you fully get it. Clear space on that busy schedule of yours (and what is it, exactly, that takes up so much of your time?)
AGREED!

I loved it the first time, second time + repeat viewings makes it one of my favorite movies (uhhggg PTA  :-* )

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I - 8/10 - Better than Catching Fire for a few reasons. One: moving away from the gladiatorial fantasy killings to rather grim war violence. Two: making Katniss a pawn of cynical revolutionaries, so she's the protagonist but not exactly the hero, seems a rather ballsy move (at least by blockbuster standards). Much darker than the previous two and all the better for it.

Posting here.
Demonstrably untrue: http://www.fistful-of-leone.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=158;sa=statPanel

You can get away with lying to make a funny only if you're Oscar Wilde. You did get a laugh out of Drink, apparently, but then, he's a bit dim.

My point being that when Groggy says he spends all his free time posting here (and thus is unable to rewatch the films he should) he is not saying true. And it's easily proved.

And what was I saying about a member of this board being dim?

When did you morph into Titoli? I'll admit, I could post more on here between 4:00 and 6:00 in the morning.

Altman (2014) - 6.5/10
Pretty dull documentary, it's essentially a bunch of YouTube clips spliced together with long scenes of Altman's movies... everything from his early TV work to A Prairie Home Companion. Every now and then there's someone who has worked with Altman featured in a 5 second clip with their definition of "Altmanesque" (Robin Williams, Lily Tomlin, PT Anderson, Philip Baker Hall). It's basically a movie about how great Altman is. It's saved because almost the entire narrative is clips of Altman interviews, not others endlessly praising him. Worth a viewing just for Altman's greatness (one of the few directors I like more than Leone), but for more in depth information  on the director ...just read a book.

It's 95 minutes, and about 5 minutes are dedicated to just showing a sped-up version of The Player's opening shot, yet barely any mention of 3 Women (probably his best film). So yeah, lots of useless filler.

The Offence (1972) - 7.5/10

Surprising find, as I didn't know about this movie until recently... Sean Connery could act. I never thought I'd say/write that in my lifetime, although I had my suspicions. He's not a great actor but has a spectrum of roles he can/did cover very well. Here the movie flows pretty slow until the reveal-it-all end, one can easily get lost in all the innuendos being tossed around, that and other dialogues/monologues which often aren't very self-explanatory. The ending however, makes it well worth if you ask me, plus Connery and Bannen have a great chemistry together. Actually, Bannen's even better than Connery, and the fact that in the end they don't reveal whether he did it or not works wonderfully for him. Dark movie.

Saw The Offence about a year ago. I was underwhelmed; it seemed an interesting performance in search of a worthwhile film.

I don't get this at all. Connery dominates the screen like very few.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre..
