http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062391/

A humorous spaghetti western with an acceptable soundtrack by Carlo Rustichelli. Actors include Anthony Steffen, Enrico Maria Salerno, Roberto Camardiel, Tito Garcia, and Jose Bodalo (most of them have worked on several spaghetti westerns). The movie was directed by Mario Caiano.

There is not much of a plot on the movie. Two broke adventurers (Salerno and Steffen) are traveling on a train that carries a safe with gold coins, and the safe is robbed by a group of Mexican bandits who kill several passengers in the interim. Steffen and Salerno find the safe keys in two of the corpses and follow the bandits with the hope they can make a deal: to get part of the gold in exchange for opening the safe.

There are a few hilarious scenes: the opening scene where Steffen and Salerno are riding on the railroad tracks and have to make their horses gallop in order to put a safe distance between them and the train that comes behind them; the attempt of the Mexican bandits to open the safe with canon fire; the last words of one of the Mexican bandits after he and Roberto Camardiel killing each other in a gunfight, etc.

Not the best SW around and definitely not Salerno's or Steffen's best, but OK to watch if you see it on TV or you can borrow or rent it.

5.5/10

Forgot to add that the fake machine gun in the movie seems to be the same that appears in AFOD, Django, and Compaņeros. And tthis time the belt moves .....albeit a bit too fast to be credible.  Wink Grin

I like this sw a bit more so i give it 7/10.

Yeah there are some pacing problems but Steffen ans Salerno work well together and as you say there are some funny moments often involving Mark Damon who pops into the movie every now and again to bale the two partners out of whatever predicament they're caught up in.

I have a knackered widescreen vhs print of this but at least (unlike the Koch Media dvd)it has an English audio track.
