Here it is:

Not the first western, but the first with a composite action (and there are other firsts). The final sequence is still modern as hell (I've seen it in an italian movie of the '90's).

I love it to.
But not the first western?
I always understood this to be the first.
What is the other?

The others. Dozens of them. I am reading Garfield's Western Films and he names many before this. F.e. even Buffalo Bill made two out of his WW Show, in 1894 and 1898. Even before GTR was released there were a Kit Carson and The Pioneers (this had a Searchers-like plot). GTR though (I am quoting from Garfield) "was one of the first American motion pictures to arrange a plotted dramatic story into edited, intercut consecutive scenes..."

Are any of these films available to view?

No idea. You don't own any book on western movies?
Anyway, Garfield names also a BB's Indian Wars (1918) which was shelved soon after release because it presented exploited Indians fighting against "treaty-busting" blue soldiers. No copies apparently have survived (he was writing 25 years ago, though). But that would be a movie to watch.

That's the kind of uncopyrighted stuff which ought to be found on-line for free.
