A very poor adaption of the graphic novel (Which is no masterpiece but you have to admit it has balls) but still a pleasent time waster.

Everything is as you'd expect from a modern Hollywood action flick... action scenes have an abundance of CGI and an unconvincing protagonist (are there any actors left that can play real men?) but a lot of the gunfights have enough surprises to keep you interested and there is a neat twist that I didn't see coming ( but maybe I'm stupid).

What happened to Jolie?
She looks like she lost 40 pounds or something.
Get that woman a sandwich, quick!

I liked it. Pretty trashy movie, but once you set your brain at about 50% thinking power--it's a good time.

Jolie needs to get some meat on her bones; that's probably why they only showed the top half of her ass.

Hugh Jackman? Ewan McGregor? Russell Crowe? What do you consider a "real man"?

I guess real men can't act then. Watch a lot of Seagal flicks, I imagine?

Yeah. A ton. My Seagal library is only matched by my Van Damme and direct-to-dvd Cuba Gooding Jr. movies.

Clint Eastwood
Lee Van Cleef
Charles Bronson
Franco Nero
Toshiro Mifune
Sean Connery
Lee Marvin
John Wayne
Robert Mitchum
Tony Anthony
Harvey Keitel
Alan Delon
Henry Silva
Maurizio Merli
Terence Hill
Gianni Garko
Anthony Steffen
Jean Paul Belmondo
Humphrey Bogart

And many others that just don't come to mind right now.

As for today...

Liam Neeson
Clive Owen
Daniel Craig

and

(don't laugh)...

Jason Statham.
He's in  really shitty movies (the only exception being Bank Job which is the best caper film to come out in decades!) but he's got the look.

I would have mentioned Arnold, Stallone and Bruce Willis but now a days they mostly resemble punchlines to jokes than they do action movie stars.

Don't get me wrong about the main actor of Wanted. He was believable in his first incarnation but it was more than a stretch to believe him in the role of an "action hard man" which is what his character becomes later in the film.

The name is James McAvoy and he's an excellent young actor.

Does that change the fact that he wasn't suited for the role in the second half of the film? It was like Kevin Bacon in Death Sentence.

I'm not doubting that (haven't seen the movie though), I'm just surprised FC would refer to him as "the main actor of Wanted".

No it doesn't.

Groggy: I haven't heard of the actor before Wanted but that doesn't change the fact that I should have at least looked his name up.
Sorry.

He was in the first Narnia movie, The Last King of Scotland and Atonement. No need to apologize, I'm just surprised you hadn't heard of him before this movie.

He was in the first Narnia movie  and Atonement.

Saw those two.
can't recall a face.
Then again, I saw Narnia in the theatre so I don't remember much about it.
Was he the main character (the eldest sibling)?

Don't remember much of Atonement except the brilliant long take around an aftermath of a battle and through a carnival. It is probably better that way.
