That was fast.

The trailer left me underwhelmed though.
I really don't want to see any more army vs. monster movies.

Well you're the first person to say it didn't look good. This has been in production stages since he completed the other movie. Did you read the synopsis? It isn't the army. Originally it was supposed to be DIARY OF THE DEAD 2 and that was scrapped in favor of something different.

Read the synopsis...something about the action taking place on an island and the living inhabitants can't bring themselves to kill their relatives which have become the walking dead.

The promo told a slightly different story...

People in military clothing running and gunning down zombies.
There is also, what seems to be, a showdown involving two cowboys (maybe one is a zombie).

It's a PROMO TRAILER. One guy in military regalia doesn't constitute an army. Military figures are nothing new to Romero's zombie movies. I read the synopsis a long time ago before this early trailer was posted. This news is nothing new, just the footage itself...

Synopsis: On a small island off North America's coast, the dead rise to menace the living. Yet, the islanders can't bring themselves to exterminate their loved ones despite the growing danger from those they once held dear. A rebel among them hunts down all the zombies he can find only to be banished from the island for assassinating his neighbors and friends. On the mainland, bent on revenge, he encounters a small band of survivors in in search of an oasis on which to build a new life. Barely surviving an attack from a mass of ravenous flesh-eaters they commandeer a zombie-infested ferry and sail to the island. There, to their horror, they discover the locals have chained the dead inside their homes, pretending to live "normal" lives...with bloody consequences. What ensues is a desperate struggle for survival and the answer to a question never posed in Romero's Dead films: Can the living ever live in peace with the dead?

I'm not condemning the movie I'm just saying that I don't like what I've seen so far.

I'll still go watch it regardless.

Looks good. Though, I have a feeling this will go straight to DVD here like the previous movie. Actually I haven't seen either of the two previous ones. They don't sound all that great.
