I liked this movie well-enough although it doesn't have a great deal to place it above the 4,606,371 other superhero films that have come out since 2000. It's well done for what it is, that's about as far as I'd go in complementing it. It's definitely way better than Transformers, which was just dross.

It has Robert Downey Jr., and if you can't register the difference he makes there is no help for you.

I wasn't overly impressed by his performance, anymore than by Heath Ledger. He was good but nothing spectacular. Have you even seen the film, Jenkins?

You've declared there's no hope for me innumerable times, Jenkins - when are you going to give up?

Of course I've seen the film, it's got Robert Downey Jr. in it. I'm not exactly sure calling what he does a "performance" quite covers it: he rewrites his material, improvises, adds nuance, inhabits his roles in ways that differ from what most film entertainers do. Yes, it is a performance, but it's not the same thing one routinely gets from, say, Tom Hanks, or Cruise, or Pitt, or Lenny Di. It's another order of activity entirely.

Out of all the Superhero movies that came out since 2000. This is one of the better ones.

Among the better ones are X2, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Batman Begins, The Incredible Hulk, and the best of them all, The Dark Knight.

Okay, Superman Returns deserves an honerable mention. Nice tribute to Christopher Reeve's Superman.
