The opening 25 minutes, which deal with a Carnie re-telling a tale to another carnie, are very good but gets boring after that.

The tale in question is a story of sexual perversion and embarassment with its central character being a clown.
Starkly shot and effective.

The Seventh Seal still remains as the best Bergman movie I've seen to date and is a good candidate for one of the best movies of all time on my list.
