It isn't a remake.

It isn't a reboot.

It's more of a sequel.

Might as well have called it Friday The 13th Part 11 because that is what this is.
Sure you have references to the first three movies but that doesn't make this a remake of them.

Nothing new is brought to table here. Typical slasher garbage that isn't even entertaining or scary.
In this day and age audiences should have reached their saturation point with this stuff and beg for more from the next Friday movie.
At least up the ante on the gore or something. There isn't anything here that would be a offensive to the pope.
Say what you want about Jason X but at least there was a change of pace (It takes place in space: where all over-the-hill slasher franchises go to die) and had some genuinely creative kills (Jason Freezes a chicks face and then smashes her head against a table causing her head to shatter into a million pieces)...overall, Jason X was a brainless good time. This new FRIDAY is not.

Stay away.


The scariest time I had in the theatre was the trailer to the Last House On The Left remake.
