This projects sounds pretty exciting.
Sly Stallone has casted a bunch of tough guy actors (including himself) into this action flick about a team of toughies who go to South America to kill a dictator.

Pretty cool.

Seems like this could be more exciting than QT's version of the "Dirty Dozen" formula.

From what I understand it is supposed to be a remake of Rambo, am I correct?

Hadn't heard that one.
I think this is your basic "men on a mission" story.
I'm surprised TB isn't all over this.

I was joking, but it is the same (as always) premise, you must admit.

On the other hand, who cares. Like Sly, Schwarz, Rourke and the others are not enough, Dolph's in it too.

"Men On Mission" movies are always the same, yes.

This particular one shares its genetics with an early 90's production that never happened.
Sly, Arnie, Willis and a few other action stars were going to be the SEVEN of the MAG 7 remake.

And Arnie is in it to!

QT ain't got nothing on this cast.
I understand QT's stance on wanting to make his "basterds" unassuming to the Nazi's eye but hiring Eli Roth as a badass is shooting yourself in the foot.

Didn't know that...

As long as there's no drama I'm waiting for it. The last thing I want to watch is another Dogs of War-moral ambiguity kinda crap.

I would have been worried a time before Rambo 4 but now it's safe to say that this will be a big action flick.
Will it deliver?
I'm not certain.

What is certain is the fact that it will work as a novelty picture.

Yeah, but he's got Mike Myers.

Heh, you see, I thought it was the drama that was missing in Rambo. The movie was actually missing everything, to be honest. Didn't like it one bit. Stupid story, stupid characters, tough guys that are not tough guys, you name it.

I didn't like it either but for different reasons.
It advertised itself as an action picture promising bloody violence and gore.
We got all that but you couldn't see any of it (skaky cam).

Well, maybe in the next one. Or the next one.
