32 movies, one on one poll match-ups. I think it could be fun and give this place a little jump in activity if it's successful.

I made a list of possible movies (1939-1965):

stagecoach
the searchers
liberty valance
my darling clementine
high noon
rio bravo
3:10 to yuma
the day of the outlaw
warlock
jubal
seven men from now
the tall t
red river
the furies
winchester 73
the naked spur
devil's doorway
the man from laramie
the commancheros
the ox-bow incident
the mag 7
the gunfighter
shane
ride the high country
the last sunset
yellow sky
the westerner
ride lonesome
johnny guitar
vera cruz
fort apache
she wore a yellow ribbon

what am I forgetting?

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

I thought the majority of the board wasn't too keen on HtwW, so I didn't include it. I could be wrong though. I was thinking about including the professionals ('66 release, right) but I hit the cutoff at 1965 lol.

Just interested, what's the idea of the game? I don't follow. But it doesn't matter that much. I probably won't participate since I haven't seen even one third of the movies mentioned.

uh, you vote for the movie you prefer and state why.

and if we're going to go ahead with this, I would like opinions/input of all the regulars.

what should I take off titoli? I'm thinking the overrated Ford calvary flicks.

This is my real busy time of the year out at 7AM back at 10:30-11 some nights, don't have much time for the boards.

But any other time it would be interesting to do.  Afro

I'm sure it will sometime over the summer.

I'am. I think it's overlong and some spots are really draggy but it's a beautiful movie!

As for the thread in question, allow me to add some unpopular picks that just happen to be some of my favorites...

The Bravados
RamRod
One Eyed Jacks
Curse Of The Undead (don't be fooled by the title. It's a western)
Man Of The West
The Naked Spur
Duel In The Sun

I respectfully disagree.

P.S. I think the Ox-Bow Incident should be on your list.
