Movie adaption of a Stephen King novel that betters the book (The same with the movie adaption of The Shining) by excluding some of the author's hoakier ideas.
The only thing truly bad about it is the main actor. Dale Midkiff can't act worth a damn. He has the same monotone expression throughout the movie, no matter how horrible the situation that he lives through is.
There also seems to be a unresolved subplot about a troubled local woman who eventually hangs herself.
This has no relevance to the plot.

8/10

I remember this one often being mentioned as a horror classic (as basically every other horror adapted from a Stephen King writing), but is it really 8/10 good? Haven't seen it in ages, I might check it out one of these days. (You still have time to lower that rating before I give my money for it.)

Well I gave Drag Me To Hell a 7/10 and this is at least a point higher than that movie.
Can't cheat how I feel.

It's been way too long since I've seen this, I don't remember liking it too much though.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

Watched it today, thought it was so-so. Not like bad but, you're watching it and you know there's no real threat. You can guess pretty easily what's gonna happen with the pet cemetery/sematary once they show it; somebody's gonna get buried there and then he'll somehow be resurrected. Same thing with the nearby road, an idea which is preposterous to say at least; somebody's gonna have a bad day there sooner or later. And with pretty much everything else in the movie. The finale I don't even wanna comment. But still, can't say it's sorrowfully bad, if you don't take it too seriously and like the stuff (a fairly typical 80s horror), you'll survive it and enjoy to a certain degree.

(around) 6.5/10

Yeah, what was up with that? They don't even find her till the end.
