A complete piece of crap. One of the biggest assemblies of terrible gangster-movie cliches and incoherent narrative structure in the history of Hollywood - nothing remotely original or entertaining to be found herein. Even Lawrence Tierney isn't good. It makes Public Enemies look like a masterpiece. I know Jinkies likes it, probably because it makes him laugh and laugh, but that's hardly an endorsement. Anyone else seen this film?

IMDB has it uploaded so you coulda watched it for free. Still, maybe you'll enjoy it - my opinion doesn't seem to be popular.

You can also watch films on Netflix if you are a member.

You can watch certain films. They don't have all of them uploaded.

No frills, no melodrama, at 69' there's not a single scene too much. Tierney is perfect. I have minor gripes against the gang members, only Lawrence fits the role. 8/10

We never did find out whether it made Jenkins laugh and laugh, which used to be his criteria for a quality movie.

It's also his criteria for a quality poster, which is why Groggy only earns a 3/10.

I recorded the movie off TCM and watched it the other day.

I  liked it more this time. I would rate it a 7/10. It could have been even better if it had actually had a good actor in the lead role . My favorite memory of Lawrence Tierney is in Seinfeld.

Trvia question, without Googling: what character did Lawrence Tierney play on Seinfeld? Some hints:
Hint: it was only one episode
Hint 2: an early episode

Hint3: a very memorable character, had a major part in the episode

Hint 4:  he played a relative of one of the main characters

Hint 5: his character was nuts, freaking out the Main characters he interacted with ( much like Tierney did in real life - apparently, he stole a knife  from the set in Jerry's kitchen , freaking everyone out)

Hint 6 : He said, "Quiet down, chorus boy"

Hint 7: He said to Jerry, " We  had a comedian with us in Korea. They blew his brains out all over the Pacific. And there's nothing funny about that. "

Yeah, that's right. Lawrence Tierney played Elaine's dad in the episode "The Jacket."

Yup, 35 years after DILLINGER, this shitty movie actor had his star turn, a single episode of Seinfeld that we will remember forever.
