Boys and girls, the Maestro is coming back to the US.

Hollywood Bowl Oct. 25th

Kinda expensive and kinda far (from Montréal), though.

If he came back to NY, I'm more than there.

And this time I'll be sure to bring my good digital camera. The one I brought last time was basically a box with a piece of glass.

Is there a venue for over 75 000 in NYC as is the case for the Hollywood Bowl ?
There is the Olympic stadium in Montréal for 50 000 +. Now would'nt that be great, right in my backyard.

Anyway, no doubt we can expect extensive Youtube coverage of this event.

Los Angeles is about 425 miles away for me, and I'll pass as well.  At least I did get to see the Leone Exhibit there a few years ago, and have seen The Spaghetti Western Orchestra live and the arch remnants.

Sorry, I was off the mark. The Bowl's total seating capacity is under 18 000, like any other decent stadium.
Out in the open though. Hope the weather cooperates.

I am sure the back rows are cheaper than that.
You can also check the want ads in your local papers in the days leading up to the concert. Many times people resell their tickets at a bargain price.
Anyway, hope you get a chance to attend.
Having been at the RCMH concert in 2007, as was Peacemaker, Firecracker, Cigar Joe...I can tell you it's a once in a lifetime experience for those who appreciate the Maestro's music in so many great movies.
Keep in mind, Ennio is over 80 y/o, there won't be many other chances to see the great one in person.

Hope some of you will go to the concert and post your reviews here.

Boy, if I wasn't so cash poor, I'd be all over this concert. I live on the west coast, and this might be the last chance I'd ever get to see Morricone in concert.

THE CONCERT IS OFF:

So no reason to be jealous of west coasters, anymore.
Sorry for you all who almost had your chance.

I hope that's not because of Maestro's health issues or anything of the kind.

When I heard about the concert being cancelled I was afraid it was for health reasons.
