Not that any of you care, but I'm still at work...

Mounty (now HighPlainsBapster) is back to his old tricks on the James Bond board (he hardly ever visits Film General any more). His current repertoire includes non-stop bashing of Quantum of Solace and an irrational hatred of Blu-Ray. There are also a bunch of IMDBers who do nothing but continually hound him which is either funny or annoying depending on moods. Here's a good sample thread... http://us.imdb.com/board/bd0000075/nest/146225974

Relatively new on the troll front is The Intellectual Everyman, some impossibly-arrogant douchebag who claims to be a film critic/poet/author named Dan Schneider (Wiki him if you like) and quite seriously thinks himself to be the greatest thing since Shakespeare. This past week, he helped run a thread up to almost 600 replies arguing about a variety of topics, from claiming that Orson Welles directed The Third Man to his own ego and talent, to the Civil War. A really obnoxious individual, but his brain droppings made for perversely amusing readings. Enter if you dare... http://us.imdb.com/board/bd0000007/nest/145731013?p=2

There's also Strelnikoff, an obnoxious asshole I've had more than a few run-ins with on the Classic Film Board and Film General, who thinks that his word is law and anyone who remotely disagrees with him is an imbecile. At least on CFB he talks about films; all he does on FG is insult users and call everyone a moron, regardless of their opinion. At first glance he may seem a typical dickheaded IMDBer but if you read more tha one of his posts you'll be persuaded that he's a true original. Cf. http://us.imdb.com/board/bd0000007/nest/147038883

Then there's my non-stop arguments with CJ on the Public Enemies board, but we need not get into that.

Film General has degenerated into juvenile pissing contests of late with a non-stop barrage of threads on The Dark Knight, Stanley Kubrick movies and whether things are subjective and/or overrated. And that's not even to mention the off-topic shit that floods the board every day.

At 1:24 in the AM?

Kinda hard to believe.
Unless you got one of those Graveyard shift jobs.

I wasn't going to check any of your links out tonight but I figured I had time for just one.

I picked... Strelnikoff's
.....................................................
Y'know, people on this board are constantly inquiring to the rest of us, whether a film they enjoy is really good quality or not. Ever notice this trend?

Well. I am here to help. Here's a handy list of what I consider to be "poor quality". If you like any of these items, I'm not sure what to say to you, without sounding mean. But seriously, this is the worst crap I can think of. I'm not saying you ought not to like it, but...

Oh well, I just thought I'd pile it all in one place. Too bad I can't physically have it all rounded up, like in a stadium, and light it on fire while pissing on it.

Ok so without further ado. Everything below this line...in my opinion is...

That's a very impressive list and I hate to admit that I agree with a pretty good percentage of it.
Although, I don't think I dislike any of those movies half as much as this guy does (if he is genuine).

I wonder how much of this is to just be shocking because that list covers an enormous spectrum when considering the tastes (or lack thereof) of 90% of the IMDB community.

The problem with Strel is not his opinions but his personality. He does nothing on FG but insult people, period. If you read just one post of his he may not seem so bad, but follow him regular and he's one of the biggest assholes you'll ever meet.

I work 10-2 shifts at the Hillman Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I just got off work ten minutes ago, I need to turn in pretty soon.

Excluding Dazed and Confused, QT, the Coens and the first two Terminators, I pretty much agree with the guy for the most part lol.

But he's probably a huge ass.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

Yeah, though you have to sit down enjoy a clown like that from time to time, especially in a fanboy-saturated environment like IMDb has become.
