Oh dear Christ!
Will this man's reign of terror ever end!?

Sure the Steve Mcqueen movie isn't very good (minus the great title theme) but we had a damn decent remake back in the 80's to make up for it.
What is there to update!?
And nevermind the fact about Zombie going on record (a year before he was signed on to direct the Halloween remake) saying "Remakes are the worst thing you can do, it's fuckin' horrible!".

He slid past the naysayers when he claimed his Halloween movies were "reimaginings" but what the fuck is he going to cook up this time?

I make it a point to not complain about remakes of movies that weren't any good in the first place.

I never cared much for The Blob (both the original and the (first) remake), but I'm telling you they went berserk with all the remakes being done and released in the next couple of years. It's creepy.

I thought THE BLOB remake was surprisingly good with some genuinely creepy and nasty sequences of bodily meltdowns. It left an impression on me that was similar to what Carpenter accomplished with his remake of THE THING (1982). Both films had a very similar tone and both dealt with organisms invading the human body and its subsequent destruction.

I remember ''Bunny'' from Platoon being in it.
