Perhaps my favorite Haunted House movie of all time.
The first half is better than the second half (some time after the Piano death scene it seems to lose its sense of fun) and the music is great!

There is a Leone reference in here too.
The main character's father is a composer.
The main girl comes home from school and asks her father "how's the soundtrack going Dad?"

To which the father replies...

"Leone says it's better than Morricone's!"

I forgot to mention that this movie was directed by the same guy who made the infamous MANDOM commercials with Charles Bronson back in the early 70's.
