Fun.
There were some murmurings on IMDB about the second act being boring because of the lack of Zombie killing.
I disagree.
The Zombie killing seemed pretty padded out throughout the film.

I would give it an 8 but the character's decision to go to an amuesment park at the end of the film made me drop it to a 7.
Yeah, it's a big dumb movie and, yeah, it's a great set-piece but such a stupid decision doesn't even fit in the context of the film.
Amuesment parks have blind spots, loud noises, bright lights etc.
It's probably #1 on the list of places "Not to go to" if there ever was a Zombie Apocalypse.

7/10

And Woody Harrelson made the movie for me.
I'm not sold on this poor man's Michael Cera (Jesse Eisenberg).

Just came back from watching this (along with Toy Story 1/2 and some of Inglorius Basterds)

i say it was about a 6 for me, although I'm tempted to give it a 7 for a certain cameo in the middle.

Harrelsons Leone-esque intro was great, complete with Van Cleef's Pocket watch chime.

I don't think I'll bother, I'll wait for a DVD coming my way.

I liked it quite a bit, not as much as Shaun Of The Dead. And I'm with you re; the dumb decision that's made toward the end of the movie. The writer has two smart characters do something really dumb and out of character to put themselves in peril.

I loved the little spaghetti western nod, when Harrelson and Eisenberg first meet.

And the extended celebrity cameo was great (which I don't want to spoil).

I'd read this was originally a TV project. Glad they did it for the big screen. It's a hit, and it looks like there will be a sequel. Wink
