I've seen The Skin Game. Garner keeps selling Gossett over and over again and then helps him escape each time (similar to Blondie and Tuco's rope trick). Kind of a glorified Maverick episode.

well I have Monte Walsh & Pocket Money on my Netflix queue.

The others you'd think they'd show on, at the least AMC, instead of the same old same old rotation they do show.
Maybe the Encore Western channel shows them, but I don't get that.

Pocket Money looks appealing..  Afro

Tell us how you liked it when you see it, as well as the others.

The Stalking Moon (1968) Gregory Peck, Eva Marie Saint

One of the dullest films I've ever seen.

At least the title is accurate. Most of the picture is a cowboy being stalked (not attacked) by a vicious Indian at night. The night scenes are shot terribly and it's hard to see anything throughout.

Is this a case of something on the order of "And God said to Cain" where the available copy is too dark?

I've been curious about Pocket Money as well.  Paul Newman and Lee Marvin, and a script by Terrence Malick.  The Skin Game was a film that used to be shown quite often as the late movie in my area.  I've seen it but it was quite a while ago.  I remembered I liked it....but it did play like a television movie.  Actually, a film for television was made that paired Larry Hagman with Louis Gossett which was pretty much the same kind of story.  I think they varied the plot and the characters a little bit, but it was essentially the same.  It was called Sidekicks.  Not sure if it was a television film based upon The Skin Game that was a pilot for a potential television series that never got picked up.

The vhs copy at the rental store was fullscreen, yes, but the transfer was fine during the day scenes so there is no excuse for the horrible lighting during the night scenes.

Run Of The Arrow (1957) Dir. Sam Fuller with Rod Steiger

I saw this, it was good.

The Stalking Moon (1968) Gregory Peck, Eva Marie Saint

I saw this at a theatre in 1969 and I think I saw it again on TV. And I liked it. And I can understand why FC doesn't. Nothing to do with AGSTC. Maybe, if I saw it again today, I would find it dull too. Maybe.

Monte Walsh (1970) Lee Marvin

Saw it and wasn't impressed, In facts I don't remember anything about it.

The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing (1973) Burt Reynolds

I saw it and I think it was good. Can't remember anything though.

Pursued and Crooked Man are must see, strange you missed them. The Shooting is dull.
