dunno whether this will count, but i'm working on a morricone tribute.
before thay, however, i'll be uploading my version of Jill's America.
a real soprano, that's sorta like a bloke with no balls, LOL. (castrato -not).
and a fresh new recording using morricone's original orchestration.

except for the odd abominable electric guitar shred version, no-one's attempted this.
gotta say, they are hard to better, and on that front, i'm not even gonna try.

In Italy there is a TV commercial airing at the moment for ENEL (state power company) and the soundtrack is "Jill's America" (just about 30 seconds of it). After a check, found out that the voice is that of a portuguese singer called Dulce Pontes, who has collaborated with Ennio Morricone on a lot of his concerts. Very powerful and moving voice.
