All the films I've seen from Cannon never cease to amaze me.
They're usually plagued by awful scripts but always manage to entertain me.

This was no different.

One of the many "Jones Clones" that cropped up after Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
The respect for the source material is nonexistent as this Allan Quatermain has an American accent and has an adventure sometime in the late 30's to early 40's (a brief glimpse of a swastika gives the time period away) but then again, who cares? This is a Cannon film.
The only thing this movie has to achieve is to be fun.

And that it is.

Entertaining crap, it's been like a million times on TV so far. There was also a sequel, with only slight variations. Again entertaining 100% crap.

Never could tell the difference between this series and the one with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

No matter how cleverly you sneak up on a mirror, the reflection always looks you straight in the eye.
