Is it known how many days it took to shoot this movie?

More info on the schedule would be great (how many days where), but the amout of days is already great info.

Welcome to the board  Smiley

have you read Christoper Frayling's biography of Leone, called "Sergio Leone: Something to Do With Death"? That book has all the info you'd need on Leone's films, and I'd bet the shooting time is in there as well. Either way, if you are an English speaker, you should read that book  Afro

April 1968 Rome interiors, then Almeria and Granada May-June, then Monument Valley July, again roughly 13 weeks.

Thanks. That would be around 65 days of shooting? Even with long days, that is quite good for a 3 hour movie. Or did they shoot more than 5 days a week?

Hopefully Frayling's new book will include a detailed production schedule.

According to IMDb, something in the film was shot in Sonora, Mexico. Anybody know anything about this?

The scene between Frank and Morton before Frank's mountain hideout maybe. This was shot at least also in the USA, and not in the Monument Valley.

Thanks DJ!
Hell, I didn't check the board for one f...ing day and see what I have missed!! Embarrassed
Great news indeed: will check now in Italy about the release date here; it might be earlier because Angelo Novi is involved as well. Also, if Amazon states that the book has 336 pages, it means that the book is already finished: how would they know otherwise..?
