All through the month of June and July, the world famous film forum in downtown Manhattan will be hosting Anthony Mann films including all the western collaborations with James Stewart!

Well spending 10 bucks per movie ain't exactly budget-friendly when there's so many movies.

I'm definitely seeing The Man From Laramie being its my favorite of their collaborations.

I'm actually interested in seeing a lot of those:

T-Men
Border Incident
Heroes of Telmark
The Last Frontier
God's Little Acre
Bend of the River
The Tall Target
Reign of Terror

Looks like a decent number of those aren't on DVD.

My favourite movie from Anthony Mann is El Cid. It would be nice to see it again on the big screen  Smiley, but unfortunately I live far away form NYC.  Sad

Wasn't a huge fan of that, although I liked Heston and the battle scenes.

Actually, considering it's NY, that sounds a bit more accurate. But the 12 bucks is worth it.

Going tomorrow to catch the restored version of Metropolis with the newly found lost footage. Can't wait. Gotta love Film Forum!   Afro

Just saw The Naked Spur yesterday @ 1pm with a pretty packed house. It was an amazing experience, Stewart's lingering sadism comes off even more powerful on the big screen. The 35mm print was an original as you can tell from it's reddish tint, but it wasn't the least bit distracting. Still looked great.

Next week I'll be catching Mann's best work (IMO at least) The Man From Laramie! Can't wait for it.
