I bought the dvd (in Paris, for 2 euros: I buy indiscriminately all westerns if reasonably priced) and hadn't noticed, until the credits started rolling, that the director was Walter Hill. So I expected much and until the last 15 the movie delivered.  But the theatrical source wants to make too much of the story and the whole final saloon scene drags and bores. Ellen Barkin as Calamity Jane is awful, Bridges is very good as only to be expected. 7\10

Saw this back in the 90s, I remember I was very disappointed.

No matter how cleverly you sneak up on a mirror, the reflection always looks you straight in the eye.

My 2nd worst Western of all-time (worst is The Quick and the Dead)

There are three types of people in the world, my friend: those who can add, and those who can't.
