Since he was doing his gangster movie at the same time being more about Murder Inc. type i wonder what he thought of the Latin type gangsters. And also this was a pretty iconic/influential one on culture just like the Godfather ones were before.

Wouldn't know for sure, but I don't think he was a great fan.

Why not? I thing he would like the immigrant aspect and them being latin since his own westerns were more south and also the larger than life style of that movie.
