It's okay. Although it lacks grandeur, everybody did their homework.

around a 7.5/10

You lack grandeur. Now that I watched the film over 10 times I can assert: this is a fucking (flawed) masterpiece. It's in my top 20 films (not in my top 10) as a movie goer, and in my top 5 non leone films as a wannabe director.

That being said, the article you just posted rocks :)

I re-watched this a few months back. If anything, I enjoyed it more the second time. True it's a flawed movie, especially in its sketchily-drawn supporting cast and chintzy framing device, but Fincher's atmosphere of isolation and psychic violence is palpable. More than an improbable success story or even a character study, it's a frightening tale of people finding new ways to hurt each other.

One of the best Fincher interviews about this great film:

And an old but fascinating one about Fight Club (posting it here since Fight Club and Fincher don't have their own topic, which is wrong). There are many reasons to read that one: for the film, for Fincher, for the great insights about the difficult task of a control freak (Leone level) filmmaker trying to put on screen what's in his head... but the main reason is the magnificent retro design of the website that will bring you back to 90's internet.
