Interesting article, even if I don't agree that Inception is "God's gift to cinema" and Jonah Hex is a "bad brand".

Movies have been dead a long time now, but apparently no-one noticed.

I thought blaming Tom Cruise for everything was old hat by now.

Anyway, this is all just a bunch of cranky whining that we've all heard many times before. How many times, exactly, does the rise of the blockbuster "event movie" need to be charted? This article brings nothing new or interesting to the table.

That's how I feel. I just flat out ignore contemporary movies.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre. What did you think of the script?

Movie are not dead yet.

The last 10 - 15 years belong to the best ever, and are filled with fantastic films by brilliant filmmakers like Julio Medem, David Lynch, Park Chan Wook, Pedro Almodovar, Quentin Tarantino, Lars von Trier, Michael Haneke, Gaspar No, Wong Kar Wai, Fatih Akin, Mike Leigh and, and , and ...

I still enjoy a lot of new films very, very much. The fun is as great as ever.

Half of those did their best works ten years ago.

Not in my opinion. At least they are still making very original films.
