guess I'll keep on posting some posters & photos...

Here's the bigger part of my FOD collection. I'll start with
ITALIA. 2-foglio (100x140cm), locandina & 8 photobusta (2 still missing).
They all date back to 1966 when most of the FOD so-called 'first-release'
material was printed. It is all the same styles and design as printed
in late 1964, but because it was released so poorly in the beginning,
naturally there wasn't much material printed. When the film became
a hit, this stuff displayed here came into action (still very hard to find & expensive):

I'll continue with the Spanish material:
The scarce first release poster, followed by the 1972 poster &
complete lobby card set. Then there is the 1981 lobby card set
(using frame enlargements). I'm not sure 1965 lobby cards do exist.
 




The third co-production country: Germany.
Here's both 1-sheets + a complete set of 24 lobby cards.
followed by the RR 1-sheets for 1971 & 1981. (for both re-releases
12 and later 16 lc's from the 1964 set of 24 cards were re-printed.
So 8 cards of the first release set are quite rare since they were only
used in the 60's).

Now England & the US. Still waiting for my first FOD posters
Should have bought them 25 years ago, when the prices were still reasonable
At least I got a lot of stills.
Here's the UK Front of house set + the US lobby card set (11x14).
Followed by some of my b/w stills and some rare behind the scenes stills.

Now for se French release:
I have no idea what the first release material does look like.
Would be cool to see something (anybody?).
I have this great 120x160cm poster from the late 60's and
some rare lobby cards. Some said they are first release, but I'm
not so sure. Then there's the nice re-release set from the early 80's,
the poster for that release and the Belgium re-release poster (early 70's).

Some more stuff:
the Argentinian first release poster, the Yugoslawian poster,
the brochures from the US & Germany,
the German 12-page program, the Austrian 4-page program
and the German Super-8 cover (1972),
I'll end with the 70's Mexican set of 8. I'm not sure whether the film
was released there in the 60's:

Boy, I consider myself as a real fanatic of Leone's westerns. But after seeing your memorabilia  , I feel quite downgraded.

Great stuff.  Some of the drawings sure don't look like Clint Eastwood !!!  And in the following capture it sure looks like a still from the cemetery in GBU !!!

Very nice collection.............I remember having the pamphlet on the synopsis for FOD back in 1966..........Brings back memories............where do you keep posters and cards ?? under any special conditions ?

No, just stored in envelopes or plastic to protect it. Until the early 80's almost all promo material
was delivered folded, so that helps. Storing unfolded posters I don't really like, uses so much space
and it's hard not to add little damages over the years.
Italian material has a special place, won't fit on any shelf

Was any of your material used for the Leone exhibit in the Gene Autry museum back in 2005 or 2006, and/or Frayling's book ONCE UPON A TIME IN ITALY which was the companion volume to the exhibit?

No,
I know Sir Christopher, he has enough LEONE items, he wouldn't need mine I suppose .

In fact I wanted to make a LEONE book for years, using my 1000+ posters & photos etc.
But I'm out of writing film books. To painful to make, no money in it... can't afford that any longer.
