Mike's FDM memorabilia

Here's some stuff on FDM. Somehow the most difficult one to collect. Italian
first release paper is really hard to find (and very expensive). Same goes
for the UK and various other countries.
I'll start with the complete German first release material:
Scarce double panel (very few copies survived), rare advance 1-sh, 1sh Style 'A' & 'B'
plus the set of 24 cards. For the 1972 RR's Style A was reprinted with a different slogan
at the top and a set of 16 cards was reprinted (so 8 cards of the first release are
quite rare). For the early 80's RR Renato Casaro created two nice new posters
(1-sh & 2-sh) and a set of 18 cards was reprinted. At least one card was used
that didn't exist before).

Yeah, as we know, our Leone is very collectable
Next countries, ITALIA & FRANCE:
The Italian 2-foglio (100x140) from the early 70's,
2 photobusta (incl. the 'sogetto' 100x70cm) from
that release and a 2-foglio from the late 70's:
The big French poster (120x160cm), the small one, complete set of 6 Jumbo lobby cards and
a set of 12 (regular size). I don't know whether those 12 also do exist in color. Sometimes the French printed
those small lc's in color too for the big cities (but of this title I never saw one.)
Then there's the nice complete set of 9 from the 70's and the complete set of 12 from the late 70's or
early 80's (frameshots were used):

So far, I don't have lc's from other countries (yet). But some more
posters:
Argentina (first release & re-release), Belgium (RR 70's),
Yugoslavia, Sweden (1sh + insert, both first release),
US 1sh (first rel.), Spanish (original style bur RR):

Funny to see that on the first poster Werner Abrolat (Slim, member of Indio's gang) and Kurt Zips (hotel manager) are mentioned: both are uncredited in the movie.
More important actors with far better roles are not even mentioned: Luigi Pistilli, Aldo Sambrell (Cucillo!!) etc. Needless to say that Abrolat was German and Zips austrian...
Mike, keep this good stuff coming: very interesting!!

The germans always have the best (most contemporary feeling) posters, love those two with Monco pointing the gun at us (I have the photo they used for the first one)

Nice to hear the German Posters have some Fans
Well in general the German posters from the 50's/60's are
among the best worldwide, after the war some great artists
needed work - and started painting poster artwork.
But in the case of LEONE their work wasn't used except for the FDM Quad,
and the OUATITW Quad (priceless), later the re-release artworks by Casaro
were made in that tradition.
The Constantin Photo-'artworks' are OK and probably popular because they are different.
I myself prefer Italian posters for Italian films.
But the German
lc-sets
were the best. 24-30 cards
in great quality. Hard to top.
Speaking of photos:
Here are some US stills, German press stills & rare color stills:

Yeah , German posters from 50s/60s...hell to find
You mustve paid a ton for the posters
I really want that German 2sh re-issue , it kicks serious keester
Black one is R77 (or so Ive heard) , a tough SOB to find also.
Its much easier to find FOD/FAFDM lobbys than GBU lobbys when were talking German issues.

Yes. At 100-300
each
I didn't buy a single one so far. Same with the Italian first release posters, they are the rarest and most expensive Leone posters. (GBU first release posters are scarce and expensive too of course, but at least they show up once in a while..)

May I ask where you got that "La Muerte Tenia Un Precio" poster where LVC appears to be picking up the watch from Indio's hand?
