I am a Sartana fan, as I have written in other topics, but this one left me not completely satisfied, also taking into consideration the stellar cast.  The rhythm is, as usual, cartoonish fast, but is too ripetitive. There is such a long series of double crossings that in the end you know that everybody is gonna cheat and be cheated. So, after the brilliant first half an hour you've seen it all. Sure, it is a pleasure to watch Garko and Berger and Kinski (Sancho is not particularly brilliant in his usual role of bogus mexican general) playing their games against each other and delivering their simple lines. But, as the plot is almost unfathomable (revolving about some gold which always seems to turn up somewhere else from where is supposed to be) you have to content with the good visuals (not so good: too many scenes are shot in a darkness as unpenetrable as the plot) and the actors. The score by Piccioni doesn't help steer the movie into the memorable. 7\10.

Some food for thought is offered by the italian original poster where Garko is featured in a garb rather different from the one he dons in the three Sartana movies with Parolini e Carnimeo. Actually he reminds one of the Sartana from Blood at Sundown, also sporting that gloomy facial expression little in accordance with the character.
