Title: Could CGI erradicate bad lip syncing on spaghetti westerns?
Post by: emmo26 on April 18, 2012, 09:50:16 AM
Would you like to see FFoD, FaFDM or even GBU with all the lip moments in sync with all the English dubbing  O0

Personally I think that there could be a way of doing this, especially with all the latest CGI techniques.

What I was thinking was that they could get actors to read out the English script then superimpose their lips onto all the non English actors in the film.
But keeping the orginal voice track from the movie, so it will then appear to be more in sync.

A bit like this....

But obviously do a less butchered version than the above.

What do you think?
A good idea or do you think it might eliminate some of the character out of these films.

Have you seen the 80,000,000 movies with talking babies/dogs/what have you? Computer lips are a hideous abomination infinitely more distracting than bad dubbing.
