Hi there,
Just before Christmas I tried again to purchase a pre-2004 dvd of the film. This is the third time that I have tried from Amazon and each time the seller has sent me some version from a western collection. What I am after is the released version that was available before it was given the treatment back in 2004, where the deleted scenes were extras.
Can anybody offer me any advise on how to get a UK copy of the film (official) that we all knew and loved for all those years.
I do not own a blue ray player by the way so it would dvd thag I am looking for.
Cheers
The Rat

?
It is still in print, and easily to purchase on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Good-Bad-Ugly-DVD/dp/B00004RCL6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451751451&sr=8-1&keywords=good+bad+ugly
New and used and enough of it.

I understand your response Stanton but believe it or not, that is what I have tried to buy 3 times and each time the seller has sent me a different version to the actual listing.
I guess I could try Ebay and message the seller first to check that I will be receiving the version listed.
I realise you must think I am mad but this has honestly been my experience

Then you can sent the discs back, cause they have to sell you exactly the item which is shown and described on the page. And they have to pay the shipping costs for the return.
If it is a marketplace item you can also ask the seller before ordering, to make sure you get what you want.
I bought a CD lately, it was the same album, but not the remastered version I wanted. I got my money back, and in that case they let me even keep the CD, cause the seller was not interested to refund the reshipment.

Ok, so I have now have this version in front of me and it's like going back to the pan and scan days of old?
Sorry to be a pain in the ass but can somebody else confirm that their copy is the same?
Edit; I see that the extra scenes are in proper letterbox format

There is a letterbox 2.35:1 version. Are you looking for a Region 1 NTSC DVD?

There are dozens of used copies listed on Amazon.com for literally pennies
