There's a lot of religious allegory in SWs. Let's not forget that they were made by Italians who are a mostly Roman Catholic people.

but didn't frayling say that were not, because they borrowed some equipment from catholics, while posing as jews? they still could be catholic I guess, just not too serious ones.
