Once Upon A Time In The West / Best Western ever!
« on: February 17, 2014, 12:25:36 PM »
Taking this opportunity to correct my previous typing error under Subject, I would like to mention that I just finished watching on TCM/HD the Western ¨Firecreek ¨ with Henry Fonda and James Stewart. I noticed that both OUATITW and Firecreek were made in 1968; that Henry Fonda plays the villain and the resemblance with Frank, specifically with the bearded or unshaven Frank are striking. Question for me, who inspired who?

Duck, You Sucker / Re: Blu-ray to be released Dec 2013
« on: December 02, 2013, 11:50:06 AM »
Amazon Italy does not mention anything about an English language soundtrack at all, but the above review clearly confirms it is there!
Just to double-check before I order my copy, are you indeed sure the English language option in the menu is available? Thanks

Once Upon A Time In The West / Best Westeern ever!
« on: June 21, 2013, 04:46:58 AM »
In a today´s Dutch newspaper, Dutch Movie Director Martin Koolhoven declared ¨ One Upon A Time In The West ¨ to be the best western ever.....I agree; not because I am Dutch.....but because it´s the simple truth....even though I know Sergio Leone got many or most of his ideas from a variety of American Western.

Other Films / Re: Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974)
« on: September 11, 2010, 12:14:48 PM »
Most or all Sergio Leone fans do have a weak spot for Sam Peckinpah as well. And, as far as I know, only Wild Bunch, Getaway and Strawdogs are available in Blu-ray. By chance I noticed on a Spanish on-line shop (www.DVDGO.com) that ¨the head of Garcia¨ is available there in Blu-ray under the name ¨Quierdo la Cabeza de Alfredo Garcia¨. I ordered it, and I am very happy with the quality.....in any case much-much better then any other release I have ever seen. The DVD has an English language option. That particular website also can be seen in English.
Is there any information on other Blu-ray titles?
