Speaking of this scene, I watched it again a couple of days ago, and I guess I wasn't paying attention before, but as Noodles walked away from the gate, up on the grass, he was heading for an oriental building.
One thing that jumped out to me was that possibly this was Noodles "waking up" from his dream at the opium den. I never really bought into the whole Dream thing, but I found this interesting. 4

Exactly. I'd like to see them silent, or with the background noise.

I think I know the answer to this question, but has there been any talk at all of distributing any cut scenes (dubbed or not) in the future?

I have a question - did Moe know about Deborah's son? If so, why didn't he tell Noodles?
Moe said that he hadn't seen Deborah in 3 years (I think), so he should have known about the son. 9

So is there some signifigance to the clock ,other than "time stopping for 35 years" and where the locker key was hidden?
Seems that was an important scene when the clock was rewound. I don't remember the clock playing that big of a part in the 30's. 10

But the Fed Reserve heist never happened. They were killed in the "last" liquor run.

Once Upon A Time In America / Script - or Book form« on: February 01, 2006, 01:53:06 PM »
I thought I found where someone was making a page with the script or book form of OUaTiA (not the Hoods).
Is anything available? I'd like to have a book version of the movie. 12
Duck, You Sucker / Re: Thoughts on this film« on: August 12, 2005, 03:47:15 PM »
I watched it for the first time a month ago, and honestly think that it's Leon'es weakest film. It just seemed like the filming didn't have any kind of consistancy. And a lot of the acting was "off".
I'm sure that most of you don't agree, but I didn't get the feeling that it was Leon'es best work. Or maybe to him, it WAS his best work. 13

I've never thought of it before, but that's exactly the feeling that I get.

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re:2 dusters, not 3....« on: November 29, 2004, 11:27:44 AM »none of this technically implies or states that he saw three men wearing three dusters with three bullets in them... he just stated that three men wore three dusters, which they did, which he or anyone could obviously tell... I agree with you in principal, but who's to say that he didn't just like to put the duster over his horse's rear when it got cold? ![]() and strode doesn't look out of place... sure he's a black hired gun and isn't wearing his duster at the time of the showdown... but it still works. But it would have looked SO MUCH better if all three had 'em on, in my opinion. And apparently in a lot of studio exec's opinion's as well, or why would all of the posters & literature have all three with dusters? ![]()
